Search the catalogue and add your own ingredients

Canoli's ingredient library holds the shared catalogue every organisation searches from. If it's missing something you need, you can add your own.

Search the library

Open Library from the sidebar. Type into the search bar to find an ingredient by name; results update as you type. Use the category dropdown above the results to narrow to one food category.

Filter by source and allergen

Two filters sit above the results. Sources lets you include or exclude ingredient data sources. Exclude Allergens lets you tick any allergen to hide ingredients that contain it, useful when you're formulating around a specific allergen constraint.

Add your own ingredient

If the catalogue doesn't have what you need, go to My Ingredients and click Add. You can upload a nutrition label as a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP and Canoli extracts the values, generate a starting point with AI (values should be verified before use), or enter everything manually.

Your ingredients stay private

Anything you add this way is private to your organisation. Other organisations using Canoli never see it, and it won't appear in anyone else's library or search results.

Find it again

Ingredients you've added show up in My Ingredients, where you can filter to Uploaded or Favourited, and search within your own list.
